We’ve just returned from an incredible week in Stockholm. Earlier this year, we were lucky enough to win the national round of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize in Oslo, which gave us the opportunity to represent Norway at the international finals in Sweden.

The event has been running since 1997 and is one of the highlights of World Water Week. When we arrived, we quickly realised how special it was to be there—students from 37 different countries had come together, all passionate about water, science, and making a difference.

Presenting our project to a jury of international water experts was both nerve-wracking and exciting. We felt proud to share our work and to see it placed alongside so many creative and impactful ideas from around the world. The week was filled with inspiring activities, from workshops to cultural events, and we made friends with like-minded people who shared our enthusiasm.

The highlight was, of course, the award ceremony itself, presented by H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. Standing there among so many talented young people was a moment we’ll never forget.

This experience has shown us how powerful science and collaboration can be—not just for shaping our own futures, but for bringing real change to communities everywhere. We are so grateful for the chance to take part, and it’s an adventure we’ll carry with us for a long time to come.
